Tripleplay User Group 2019: Designed Together, Developed by Us, Delivered to You

On Thursday 26th September 2019, Tripleplay held its fifth annual User Group at the newly opened, world-famous client site, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. 2019 saw a record high of clients attending with over 100 delegates on the day making it by far the biggest User Group to date.

“Designed together, Developed by us, Delivered to you” was the central theme at this year’s User Group, focusing on the collaboration between Tripleplay and its clients and driving forward with innovation.

The Technology

In the past five years Tripleplay has evolved and continued to innovate new and exciting technology. 2019 saw huge milestones achieved for Tripleplay, one being the exciting acquisition which saw us becoming part of the Uniguest family. As well as this, Tripleplay reached over 5,000 server deployments globally and launched its game-changing digital signage and IPTV media player, the PLAY3R-SP1. The User Group held roundtable discussions, where our clients are able to share observations and suggestions in order for Tripleplay to continue development and satisfy their needs.

The Tripleplay User Group is always a great opportunity not only to talk about exciting new releases coming in the Tripleplay platform, but also to have our team of specialist developers on hand to deliver live demonstrations.

Some of these included:

The Stadium

In all its glory, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has the capacity to entertain up to 62,062 fans at a time, making it one of the largest in the UK. On the day of the User Group, delegates were invited to join a tour of the stadium, led by Alan Hawkes, Head of AV. The delegates were given an overview of the site and shown the range of Tripleplay technology within it including the Tripleplay Digital Signage and IPTV Platform.

The Partners

We were pleased to have Chris Hoogeveen from HPE Aruba give an insightful presentation into elevating fan experience through the use of smart, secure and digital stadia. Mike Bohndiek from PTI Consulting also discussed technology in venues and the importance of the approach to unlock and generate ROI and engage new fans.

We were lucky enough to have Paul Jennings from hosts Tottenham Hotspur Stadium give some insight into the project that was undertaken to ensure that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was one of, if not the best stadium in the world.

Tripleplay was also fortunate to have incredible support from some fantastic companies in the industry who joined us as our event part Our event partners this year included LG, HPE, BrightSign, Daktronics, Midwich, Peerless-AV, Philips and XMA.
