With over 90,000 delegates flying in from all over the world, NAB Show is the ultimate way for media, broadcast, entertainment and technology professionals to connect with the latest and most cutting-edge technology in the industry.
After successful shows in 2017 and 2018, Tripleplay was excited to exhibit again at NAB in the Las Vegas Convention Centre. The show is an excellent opportunity for Tripleplay to show that its technology is more than just a digital signage solution, encompassing the needs of the broadcasting industry through IPTV, video streaming and low latency video encoding.
The last 24 months have been hugely successful for Tripleplay since its first appearance at NAB Show, both in terms of product development and infrastructure changes to our platform, this included a new UI, new features such as QuickDrop, Multiview and increased 3rd party integration support. NAB Show allowed us to highlight to the North American market how Tripleplay is continuing to make a number of simple innovations to enhance client experience with ease-of-use at the forefront.
Multiview: Multiple streams to a single device
One of the main attractions on the Tripleplay stand was Tripleplay’s answer to three and four way multicast streaming to a single device, MultiView. We demonstrated this on a number of screens, both in portrait and landscape orientation and as part of a 6 screen videowall, proving to be a huge hit to those visiting our stand.
Multiview doesn’t require extensive and expensive hardware and is a cost-effective way to enhance the way you can broadcast multiple live feeds on a single screen, be that the requirement for multiple camera angles at a sports match or stadium or having an eye-catching video wall configuration for a company office or headquarters.
Simple to use Technology
Tripleplay has already set itself apart as a market leader for digital signage and IPTV delivery so NAB was its opportunity to educate delegates about the simplicity of the CMS. Any user within an organisation can use the Tripleplay platform, regardless of how technologically savvy they are. We were able to take delegates on a typical digital signage and IPTV journey, showing how our redesigned UI, QuickDrop, 3Create Visual Editor Tools and one click triggers with our event engine and TripleClient TV control make controlling an IPTV platform simple and easy to do.
The importance of live video streaming: Multiple feeds to multiple devices
In fast moving environments such as sports and arena, live TV broadcasts and delivering live video, efficiently and securely is paramount. At this year’s NAB, Tripleplay demonstrated its low latency IPTV streaming technology, highlighting how fans in sports stadiums or workers in mission critical finance and media organisations, never miss a second.
Tripleplay was also able to highlight the flexibility in its IPTV delivery product, showcasing the multiple (and growing) number of end points supported including: desktop, Smart TVs and Set Top Boxes. We can deliver to the world’s largest organisations scaling to thousands of end points and 100s of thousands of desktop users across the globe.
Together we continue to Innovate
NAB Show is one of the biggest events in the calendar and already Tripleplay is discussing how it can make next year even more successful. Together, Tripleplay is continually innovating through listening to the needs of its clients and ensuring that it develops technology that is interesting and exciting for the market.
