15/12/2015, Belfast, London, UK: The SSE Arena, Belfast is Northern Ireland’s largest indoor arena, with a capacity of almost eleven thousand the arena is host to music concerts as well as sporting events.
The SSE Arena, Belfast recently undertook a three million pound redevelopment over ten weeks, improving the venue to a very high specification to enhance customer experience as well as delivering world class live entertainment. The arena now boasts 9000 new seats as well as new digital screens.
Tripleplay played a key part in this development work by providing over 200 screens of IPTV and Digital Signage not only better engaging visitors, but enhancing experience through live TV streams, maximising revenue generation opportunity via the advertising of upcoming events and through the use of digital menu boards.
Alongside the screens, The SSE Arena, Belfast has also implemented an arena WiFi solution and fan engagement app, using the digital signage screens to promote and ensure its uptake with plans to integrate their engagement app into the digital signage solution in the future.

The arena recently hosted their first ever Friendship Four Festival of Hockey, which commenced the weekend of the 27th November, with four top collegiate universities from the prestigious National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) taking part.
It was a marquee moment in US sport as it was the first time the NCAA had taken ice hockey outside of North America and attracted high interest from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, America and the UK. The event is the result of the Sister City agreement between Belfast and Boston which was signed May 2014.
