Bloomington, IL, Boston MA, 3/26/15:The Bloomington Edge, a member team of the X-League indoor professional arena football league, announced today the upgrade of its digital signage solution at its home venue of the US Cellular Coliseum. The solution, powered by Venuetize, enables the Edge to use location-based advertising, live video streaming, and special offers via push notifications across the 44 screens throughout the arena.
“We wanted to improve the game day experience for fans,” said Michael Mink, owner of the Bloomington Edge and Commissioner of the X-League. “At the same time, we also wanted a solution that would meet advertiser and sponsor expectations while developing new revenue opportunities for the team.”
Developed by Tripleplay, the digital signage system with live video streaming capability operates from a single server and is capable of playing any format of content in customizable playlists on all screens throughout the venue during live games.
Jon Romm, CEO of Venuetize, said, “Our primary objective for our clients is for them to realize measurable, incremental revenue through interactive fan experiences that fundamentally engage their fans. Our partnership with Tripleplay is another way we are able to help both the Edge and their home venue of the US Cellular Coliseum to satisfy this goal.”
“We are excited to be providing an integrated digital media solution for the Bloomington Edge,” said Paul Harris, Executive Vice President at Tripleplay Services NA. “Our installation at the US Cellular Coliseum also enables the venue to leverage the platform across all of their events while simplifying event-day operations.”
In addition to the US Cellular Coliseum, Tripleplay digital signage solutions are deployed at a number of stadiums around the world, including the Tampa Bay Rays’ Tropicana Field, Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Chelsea FC, Manchester City FC, Spartak Moscow, and Green Point Stadium South Africa.
